We meet every Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30pm in the Music Classroom. No Fee

The Schola Cantorum (“Choir School) at All Saints, under the direction of Fran Howlett, has done an amazing job over the past two years.  This group, meeting independently on an almost weekly basis, has learned over 35 musical pieces – not including the quick learn songs in the missalette or music issue.  That is an amazing body of music.  They have done it quickly, without question, and always with great enthusiasm.  They have performed their tasks admirably, singing at Masses, Para-liturgies, Benediction, Concerts, etc.

Musicians in our Diocese and in the Archdiocese of New York are astounded when they hear our students.  They have never heard of a group such as this on this grade level.  They ask:  “Do they sing at the Cathedral?”; “Is this High School?”;  “Are they all studying music privately?”;  “Are these all Honor Students?”.  At All Saints, we know the answers to these questions, but these musicians are amazed at the answer to their queries.
